Northwest Heat Music Video Festival - 2016
The Northwest Heat Music Video Festival was founded in 2014 with a simple mission: to showcase the talents of both musicians and filmmakers in the Pacific Northwest, where the communities of both are alive and kicking (out the jams). The northwestern United States is home to every kind of landscape: musically, culturally, and naturally; filmmakers recognize the way these art forms interact and realize them in the form of music videos. Beginning in 2016, Northwest Heat opened its swinging doors to all filmmakers and musicians in the United States, while adding special screenings for its Pacific Northwest submissions.
Northwest Heat is designed to celebrate the art of feeling and energy. The festival event is not just a screening or awards show; but a full-blown concert extravaganza overflowing with excitement, sound, and power.
This film festival is ONLY for music videos and will feature an Opening Night concert-screening at The Shakedown, and concluded with a Closing Night Awards screening at the Pickford Film Center:
- The Opening Night concert screening will take place at The Shakedown located at 1212 N State St. in Bellingham, WA on Thursday, July 7th. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. *This concert will be ages 21+*
- The Music + Film Networking event will take place at Make.Shift Art Space located at 306 Flora St. in Bellingham, WA on Saturday, July 9th. This event will have a light breakfast and coffee provided for attendees. Starts at 11am.
- The final screening and awards announcement will take place at the Pickford Film Center located at 1318 Bay St. in Bellingham, WA, on Sunday, July 10th. Doors open at 7:30pm, show at 8pm.
